Hi there! I am excited to start studying and was wondering if there is an option to study the flash cards and the answers without taking a test. I feel I would like to study and then answer questions about what I studied to see how I am doing. Am I able to do it that way or just answer wrong and write down the info to study... Thanks for any input for the above question or anything else you think I might find helpful!

There are no tests with IC flashcards. Study them until you know the answers. You may also want to augment IC with REA books, Peterson's practice exams, you-tube videos on your study subject, textbooks, and especially the specific feedback on this forum. As a paying member of IC you have access to study feedback that you might find helpful for focusing your study.

Thank you Storyteller! I started going through the flash cards for the Architecture portion of Humanities and I was surprised how fast I picked it up. The system works! I did write down all the questions, answers and explanations to study "old school", when I am not on the computer.

Thanks for the other resources, I will check them out!

Hi caimee,

I go reeeeeally "old school" with the IC flashcards and print them out and make a study notebook. You may not want to do all the flashcards, but just print out the specific sections or questions you want for "extra" review. I also utilize the REA books, Wikipedia, Petersons and the fantastic study guides provided by the great contributors right here.

If you really want to add more old school depth to your studies, purchase an actual hardcopy textbook - I looked up the name of the text used in the iStudySmart class for my subject area and purchased it used from Amazon for a little over ONE DOLLAR - it really helped me!

Hope this helps!
