Last Minute CLEP advice...........
#11
Somewhere in this forum is a post by one of the moderators/champions confessing to what he puts his wife thru when preparing for an exam - and LOL it could have been my household! Word for Word!

It's always - "this one is worse than all the other ones I've done before" or ..."I don't know if I can pass this one" or...you get the drift! AND then they pass and sometimes pass with a v. high score!

I know for me that until I have at least mastered a Peterson or some other pratice test I have a hard time judging how well I have been able to grasp the material and so I worry. Sometimes I'm trying to take a learning shortcut and then just finally knuckle down and go thru the material the way I should have in the first place and sometimes it's just plain test anxiety!

WendyR's right - it helps when you see your not alone in your concerns before taking a test! Some of us worry more than others just by nature. Everntually you learn which type you are and make things a little less stressful for yourself...at least that's the goal!

Good Luck on your exam. Let us know how you do.

Here it is, a Snazzlefrag classic. I believe the same conversation occurs in everyones house!

My wife always laughs at me. I haven't taken an exam yet that didn't deserve the utmost respect. But my NEXT exam always makes me nervous, until it is over.

------

BEFORE EVERY EXAM

Me: "This next exam could be a tough one."
My Wife: "You said that about the last one."

Me: "I know, but this one REALLY seems like it might be hard."
My Wife: "You'll figure it out. You're going to do great."

Me: "I know but...."

AFTER THE EXAM

My Wife: "How did it go?"
Me: "I think I did alright, but I'm not sure. I'm glad it's over."

WHEN THE SCORE ARRIVES

My Wife: "Well, how did you do?"
Me (smiling): "I aced that sucker. It was SUCH an easy exam!"

THE NEXT DAY

Me: "This next exam could be a tough one."
My Wife: "You said that about the last one."

Me: "I know, but this one REALLY seems like it might be hard..."

------

Ha ha! Round and round we go!

Thanks Brian! That's the conversation that I was referring to...it happens.. verbatim..between me and my husband!! When I did the Analyzing Lit exam...I was apparently overheard muttering in a rather frustrated voice about it by the proctor..who said.. "That sounded like a hard one" (he's procotored a lot of my exam thus far so knows me well) ..then he looked down at my score and just laughed! Oh well!

I'm wondering if you can tell me how the scoring works? I will be taking at least four within the next month and than this will leave me with only 4 class to get my BA I want to be prepared so any feedback would help. Good luck tomorrow.
