Hey everyone
This summer I am planning on taking Calculus II and (possibly) Probability as an online class at LSU (Louisiana State University). Has anyone else taken a class at LSU? If you have ... was it good? Do they have midterms and finals like any other college? Any tips?
Thanks!

I haven't taken a class there but have looked into LSU extensively. If you read the course outlines it will give you quite a bit of info. The classes I looked at all had midterms and finals that require a proctor. At $250 a course and being independent study, I haven't found any other schools that beat it.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I'm currently taking the Operations Management core requirement at LSU and needless to say--the coursework is very straightforward. The assignments are moderately difficult and the pace--depending on your speed, is only a minor issue(you can submit 3 assignments per week MAX).
On a scale of 1 - 5, thus far (including the registration process), I'd give LSU a 3.5. There's nothing really good or bad to say about them.

Quick question ... ShotoJuku, when you say complete lessons and mail them in - how does that work? Is that on paper and through snail mail? Or do you do in in a word document (or something like that) and email it in? I know TESC has you complete assignments using Word and email - but I am not sure about LSU.
Thanks a lot - that really helps.

It was a combination of written essay assignments and also classwork as in answering some questions. All went by snail mail but that a few years ago.

I was able to submit my essays on their website in 2007, but they were snail mailed back to me. I believe it required a word document.
