I like how some of the new ASU ULC offerings take a different perspective on their subject matter.
PAF 112 - Identity, Service, and American Democracy isn't your typical civics course. Instead, it demonstrates how social groups engage in our civic society, both historically and now. BIO 100 - The Living World looks like it'll be fun when it launches this summer. The course description really emphasizes the innovative format. SES 106 - Habitable worlds seems similar. FSE 150 - Perspectives on Grand Challenges for Engineering was an enjoyable one to take last term. It looks at how engineering can be applied to solve world problems. Although it is 100% written, the assignments aren't that intense and are less stressful than exams.
