Okeedokee just took and passed the biology clep with a 56. It was very bizzare! I feel like I answered maybe 10 questions out of 115 correctly and I passed... something is real fishy about this test or I am the luckiest man alive. The test was completely analytical. Happy I passed but somethings not right.

Thanks boot. I hjad to push back my tests date until tuesday of next week. But thats good to know. And there has to be something fishy about a 115 question test that has a max of 90 minutes. I will try to stay calm.

Maybe you are the luckiest man alive but I'm guessing you likely were more prepared than you thought. I passed it but found it to be quite difficult.
Congrats to you! What's on tap next?

congratulations on your pass. I haven't taken this test, but have heard from others how very difficult this test is ~
to be truthful, I felt horribly lost when I took the class in person. I've very impressed by people who can pass it on their own!

I hope it's just hard and not tricky. I've been working through montians of prep work it seems... and the material is difficult and doesen't seem verry conected or brain friendly.
Congradulations though!!! And I hope & pray that the rest of us pass with flying colors!

I agree - just passed bioloy clep with a 58, and like you was convinced I had failed. The lab/graph interpretations were bizarre!
A note to those taking this clep: REA book is a good base - but not in enough depth (I was getting 80s on those tests), Petersons on line is quite difficult: I was getting 50s to 60s on those.
However, one thing I would add to the other pointers already put down for biology: study some behavioral psychology e.g. habituation, imprinting, BF Skinner (operant conditioning) etc, there were about 8 questions on this.

Thanks for the info...congrats on the pass! I have this test scheduled for Thursday (Apr. 2) and have been studying for what seems forever. I understand the material, and it makes sense...I just can't remember it all. Thankfully, it's multiple choice and I think I know enough to have my memory jogged.
<---------Keeps his fingers crossed!!

UPDATE:
I just took the Bio. CLEP this morning...and passed with a 60!! I honestly felt like I answered MAYBE 40% of them accurately, the other 60% were a complete guess and may as well have been written in Pig Latin. I studied the REA Book and all practice tests, got a 1980's-esque CLEP study guide form my Library, did about 40% of the IC flash cards (the ones I have no idea about) and honestly, about half of ONE of the Peterson's tests, of which I was doing miserably on. My wife was a science major way back when and she helped too.
This test was hard, no doubt but it IS do-able.
Good Luck...
