Yesterday, I passed CLEP Biology with a 60, and that's the last CLEP I need! I think it's time for a break The last 31 days have been crazy. I took these CLEPs :
Principles of Marketing 67
A&I Literature 69
Principles of Management 68
Intro to Business Law 69
Info. Systems & Computer App. 64
Biology 60
In addition I also did all of the Professional Development Study courses for FEMA, for a total of 30 credits in 31 days. I could not have done it without all of the incredible advice on this forum! I never would have known about ALEKS, Straighterline, or FEMA if it had not been for all of you. I think it's safe to say that you all have saved me 1000's in tuition. I'm going to unsubscribe from Instantcert until the summer, when I'll begin taking DSSTs. THANK YOU!!!!

You should have taken DSST Intro to computing instead of the CLEP version.... I studied for only a few hours and passed it Maybe you can take both?

Nice.... I think you will like the DSST testing even better. Less choices and more time - what more can you ask for ???

Congratulations...good scores indeed.
I've taken a couple DSSTs too and I do think they are fairly similar, although the one less choice in the multiple choice is nice. At my local testing center, the CLEPs are all computer-based, while the DSSTs are still paper and pencil. I have to order the test, schedule and appointment to take the test, and then wait about three weeks for the scores. So, in my case, I do like the instant scoring on the CLEP. But, taking a DSST is still much better than sitting in the class for 15 weeks (and paying for that class as well!)

That sucks you don't have the computer versions yet... I've only taken 2 DSSTs but I've found them a lot easier and much quicker. I finished Intro to Computing in 25 minutes... that's about 15 seconds per question and I got a 445.
To be fair, most would agree that's one of the easier exams, but the easier CLEP exams always took me longer... that one less answer to choose from is a HUGE advantage in my opinion.
