Of course I am talking about this with friends at the other, more appropriate forum, however if anyone is into cars they should know that the new 7th generation Corvette is coming out on Jan 13, 2013. It will be revealed at the Detroit auto show.
Some hilites:
1. 455hp 6.2 liter direct injection motor with cylinder deactivation
2. Lighter body and frame using aluminum frame rails and carbon fiber panels
3. Better seats! This is a long time coming as the Vette seats are horrible.
4. Better fuel economy. Both in town and hwy improve.
5. 8sp automatic transmission, 7sp manual. I drive automatics and the Vette's paddle shift is awesome. Can't wait to drive an 8sp.
Google "new corvette" and you'll see some spy pics and renderings but no pics of the actual car. Its Chevy's best kept secret.
I am very excited.

...Or perhaps, like my friend Vladimir, you might like one of these Russian sports-cars, (1951-54 ZIS 112) with built-in Western decadent influences. hilarious

I'm joking about those cars, of course, but today Russia has an awesome-looking sports car, the Marussia.

Not an icon, like the 'Vette - and reliability, who knows? The engines are all Cosworth, so you know that part is right, but the rest? Nice-looking, anyway!

Ace_King the Camaro is great. I have owned four and my first car was a 1982 Z28 that I bought with the money I saved mowing lawns when I was 16.
I have always liked Corvettes though and wanted one even at 16 but obviously couldn't afford one. You can buy a C6 Corvette for 38-40k right now if you get one of the base models and some Camaros cost more than that.

Thats a really hot supercar. I'd love to see one of those on the roads here in the US. Very exotic.

Hell yeah. I remember the Z28's back in the 90's and late 80's the LT1 model. The engine roar of those are beautifulllll!! Later came the LS1 in the early 2000's and had the same engine in some corvettes I believe, didn't sound impressive but was quick as a beast!!
