I emailed my mentor a simple question 9 days ago and have received no response. I also asked another question 5 days ago and that question also remains unanswered. A student in another class of mine asked a question a few days ago and has yet to receive a reply.
Nobody ever said TESC had great customer service.

Sometimes a phone call works best. I know my advisor is very bad about responding to email, but its hard not to respond to a phone call.

I just googled "TESC guidance phone number" and found a ton of numbers that are all important sounding.

Dr Keel is director of Academic Advisement. You could always call and politely drop the advisor's name and the fact that it's been 9 days, and maybe they are out sick and you understand they are busy etc. And maybe after you get off the phone he will smack the person on the back of the head for you.

Is your mentor still employed by TESC..maybe he got the boot for the poor customer service...
