Is the college algebra clep all multiple choice?
#1
So I hope I am worrying over nothing. I am going to take the Algebra clep next week and when I study with instantcert I do great but the questions that are fill in the blank I miss occasionally because I look over something stupid or do a stupid typo. I am just worried with the time restrictions and filling rushed if the questions are fill in the blank I may miss them. This is my first clep test I am going to take and I haven't taken a math class for 14 years so I am nervous.

All CLEP and DSST exams are multiple choice only (except for those with essays). You will not fill in the blank on Algebra or any other exam.
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

Keep in mind that even though the questions are multiple choice, there are many that are pretty abstract. They test a level of knowledge beyond the plug and chug approach of something like Aleks. The College Algegra CLEP kicked my butt.

Actually, on College Math and the Literature CLEPs, there were a few questions in which you had to click on an answer choice, then click on a blank to put it there, essentially "putting in order" several choices. So it's not ALL MC, though the vast majority is. I think there were also 1 or 2 "fill in the blanks" on College Math.

To study for it, the College Algebra CLEP Free Study Guide! - Free-Clep-Prep.com study guide, which uses Cool Math, was very helpful. Another extremely helpful source was Virtual Math Lab - College Algebra. If you can understand the concepts, that's the key.
