Super silly question. I know you have writing assignments each week etc for this capstone. I was curious if the writing assignments are always the same? I want to start writing it now and just submit it each week when I do start the capstone. This way I wont be stressing with the 1 week deadlines.
Thanks

I would be interested in this as well. As it stands, I'm thinking my son will need to drop out of CC for a semester in order to complete the TESU BSBA Capstone. It would be nice to work on it a little now and have some of the assignments completed prior to enrolling in the course.
BTW, I noticed the book for this course changed from the 19th edition to the 21st edition. We bought the 19th edition earlier this year, just to get a look at what's ahead. Bummed that they made an edition change. And given that they made an edition change, I suspect the assignments are all new.
I came to this forum researching for my now 17-yr-old son who was earning credits via testing and online courses. He completed TESU's BUS-421 in March 2018, the capstone for the TESU BSBA GM degree. Below are the courses he took:
Study.com: Business 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 109, 113, 121, 308, 309; Economics 101, 102; Finance 101, 102; History 103, 104, 106, 108; Math 103; Political Science 102; Religion 101; Geology 101; Nutrition 101; Chemistry 101; English 305
SL: Intro to Communications, Accounting 1&2, Financial Accounting
ALEKS: Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, PreCalculus, Statistics
TEEX: Cybersecurity 101, 102, 103
Sophia: Developing Effective Teams

Community College: English 101 & 102, Calculus 1

I'm doing guided study for the BSBA Capstone, I'm going to ask the teacher if I can use an older edition, or if I can just rent a used copy of the book from Amazon (it's $64).

I'd be curious to know the teacher's reply. When I was looking into different editions of the textbook, it seemed as though the info contained in the case studies (back half of the textbook) was updated with each edition. The companies may have been mostly the same companies, but the company info and questions appeared to be different between different editions. I don't have two different versions in hand, but based on the samples I was able to obtain, that appeared to be the case. I only have the 19th edition on hand. It's been a while since I looked into that, so I don't have samples to point you to. Just going on recall.

I was wondering this about the BALS capstone last night. Different than the BSBA but it'd be awesome if getting some capstone work done ahrad of time were possible for any of us. Would certainly save time and stress!

Yea that's my main stress It takes forever for me to write an essay. I tend to procrastinate when it comes to essays. If there was a way for me to get some of the work done before taking the capstone it would be amazing

It would be very difficult. The mentor has to approve your topic, and you could end up doing a lot of writing, only to find that the mentor wants something different and you have to do much or all of it over. If you need more time, you can pay to extend the term to finish.

I wouldn't do it, I would recommend against "doing the work" before you actually are told on what work needs to be done. The capstone isn't hard for the BSBA (even though I haven't taken it, I know a few who did, one just completed it Aug 27th). Their final grade for the course was 87% and this individual completed the BSBA in 4 months following my plan.

I am taking the Capstone now, there's really no way to do it before you take the course, because there is no way to know what the teacher is going to assign as case studies and other papers each term.
The writing doesn't seem terrible yet (the term started yesterday), but there is at least 1 paper due each week.
Also, unlike the other Capstones, you don't write a thesis on whatever you want. You do a Case Study on whichever company the teacher assigns.
