Is Swiss School of management Accredited?
|
This is the authoritative list of accredited higher education institutions in Switzerland;
https://www.swissuniversities.ch/en/topi...stitutions Short answer: No Since they are also operating in Italy and claim a connection to the region of Lazio and the "acknowledgement" (whatever that means) of the Italian Ministry of Education, I also checked here: https://www.universitaly.it/index.php/un...sitaitalia After clicking on the "Lazio" region in the search, I did not see the school in the official listing. The weird thing is that they are actually listed in WHED (World Higher Education Database) under the following: United States of America - Outside USA. And the listing does show the Italian Ministry of Education...Hmmm. This one surely requires more investigation.

I would avoid Swiss schools in general. So many other options out there.

Triagon Academy in Malta offers degrees at a very similar price point to SSBM and is considered regionally accredited by WES US according to DPs on this forum.
They have programmatic accreditation from IACBE. They claim to have a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Education in Italy. I ran the MOU through Google Translate, and I can't make much sense of it. They have all of these different dates going back to the 90s approving them to offer vocational training and continuing education. That all seems to be supported by SSM's website. They don't mention any approval to offer degree programs.
https://ssm.swiss/mou-with-ministry-of-e...-of-italy/ Most other countries don't have private accrediting bodies like the U.S. does. The government directly gives universities authority to grant degrees. Sometimes, they give those universities the authority to grant private institutions the authority to grant professional degrees that can't be used for government employment or as prerequisite degrees for graduate programs. I don't see that SSM has either of those authorities.
