Hello everyone. I have been lurking for sometime.
I have enjoyed all of the wonderful tips on here and the
way you all encourage one another.
My first clep is intro to psych. I am very nervous about it.
What wonderful tips can you all give me for studying?
I have read on here several times about people just studying for
a few days and take the test and pass.
How do you study that quickly?
Thanks for any advice

Hi rmullins,
I took Intro to Psychology a few weeks ago after a week of studying.
Here's my recommendation:
Do a search in this forum for "introductory psychology"; then you can read feedback from others regarding what you need to know and how long you may have to study.
Then log in (if you haven't already) and go to the specific exam feedback section for Introductory Psychology. There you will find a number of topics to "Google" or look up on wikipedia. Take good notes and study them often.
Meanwhile, study instantcert flashcards until you feel fairly comfortable with the material.
That is the game-plan I have followed for many tests. However, Instantcert flashcards have helped me more than anything.
Good luck with your exam and keep in touch with us. We want to hear your feedback.

I made sure I just clicked through and read each and every one of the the questions for instacert practice for intro to psych and sociology. (it will help with a good base) and then print out the Peterson practice test and see how you do without looking. Go with your gut. (remember that your first guess is right 60% of the time, your second guess 40% of the time) and time yourself. Then check how many you get right.
The first test is certainly the hardest. After a few of them you will feel more confident...I have been telling my kids to take them now.
If you do well on this test consider studying and heading back and doing sociology...the thought lines are very similar...and it can give you the extra credits.
