I am planning on taking this exam soon, I was wondering since the two are duplicate credit transfers to TESC does anyone have a preference of which exam is better/easier? DSST or CLEP?
Thanks a bunch!

They were really similar. I took them both at the same time and gotta 449 on the DSST and a 62 on the CLEP.

Thanks
I'm planning on using IC and some practice tests. Do you remember if there were alot of questions on programming? That area I know very little about.

Go through FCP's info and his their PT! The PT is very accurate.

I took the exam with about a week or two of study and it was one of my easier ones. Scored in the 440s I believe.

I understand that they are both similar, but I took the CLEP. To determine which one to take, I took practice tests for both, and scored higher on the CLEP practice test (and found it easier). That was one of the easiest exams, even though I am not very good with computers. I do not remember many programming questions on the exam. I agree with Publius, Free CLEP Prep is a good resource for this exam (I also used a book on computers).

When I was researching which one to take, the general consensus was that the DSST was easier. I listened to Instantcert's mp3s of the flashcards once and did pretty well on the test. It was easy and straightforward.

I also took the DSST version and it was close to the easiest of all the CLEP, DSST's I took. I got a 460 on it and only looked at the instantcert flashcards. Just a FYI you need to correctly answer 59 to 63% of the questions right on this to pass.

I went DSST. It was weak sauce after a 2 hours or so on IC. I'm a IT professional, and think I could have taken this one cold, but it was my first DSST and I was a bit nervous.
