Edit Reason: Added transfers as
)
Provider: InstantCert
Course: Principles of Marketing
Credits: 3 lower level
Transfers to TESU as: Introduction to Marketing (MAR-201)
Course content: Text, slides, quizzes, 2 tests, midterm, final
Final exam format: Multiple choice
Final exam content vs course content/practice exams: Very well aligned
Time taken on course: A little more than a week
Familiarity with subject before course: Zero. But I have a decent level of understanding now
Pitfalls, high points, things others should know: InstantCert is probably the best place to take the Principles of Marketing course
1-10 Difficulty level: 5 (a little more difficult than I expected)
Price: $20 for the course & $15 for the final exam proctor
Recommend course: Yes!

Hi there. I’m not seeing Marketing on the credit courses on the website. Is this currently available?

Hey Dancebabe!
All the quizzes are open book. The tests are timed and not proctored but I don't remember if they are open book. The final is a closed book proctored exam. Check out the course reviews in the forum. They will give you a pretty good idea of what each course is like.

Thank you! I appreciate the review. I'm considering doing InstantCert after I finish with Sophia (I had a code gifted to me). I had a transplant recently so really can't afford to spend much money right now until I get off of disability. So much free time and no money haha.
I appreciate your review this is smoething I need for my degree path and I look forward to taking it

Congratulations on your degree progress! I can’t imagine the uphill battle you’ve been on. I just wanted to mention that you can get free vouchers for CLEP tests through ModernStates.org. You take the Modern States course quizzes. (You don’t have to get a minimum score.) Then you take the free final exam which is not proctored. The final exam is just a duplicate of the course quizzes. They’ll email you a coupon code to use when you purchase the CLEP test on CollegeBoard.org. After you take the test at a testing center, email them a picture of your score & they will even reimburse you the testing center fee (about $20) by mailing a check. Thought this might help with the courses InstantCert doesn’t offer yet.
