Inexpensive Traditional Courses
#1
While I will be able to test out of many courses I'm going to need to take approx 9 regular courses (3 credits ea.) to complete my music major.

I'd like to know if there are colleges out there that have cheaper out-of-state tuition than TESC ($193/credit hour) and offer music courses. (many community colleges don't offer any/many. Big Grin

Oh, and this is for the purpose of transferring into TESC btw. That's where I'm planning on getting the degree.

A local community college I would assume would be your best bet, if you are a state resident. The CC by me is $92/credit hour if you are a state resident.

$79/cr hr for my CC, and they have a few music courses. I would check out all the CC's in your state, because tuition usually spikes for out of state colleges.

Sorry can't be more helpful, good luck!

Independent Study in Idaho: Independent Study in Idaho

Their courses cost $100 per semester hour and are regionally accredited, so they will transfer into TESC. If you click on the link that I have provided, they do offer a couple of music history courses. Other than that, your local community college is probably going to be your best bet for traditional music courses that are affordable.
