Is TESU or COSC a better option for studying through SL, Saylor and study.com?
#1
I have been reading the forums and following different degree plans, however, I'm still unsure. I want to do the General Management at TESU or Business Admin at COSC.

I'd like to use Straighterline, saylor, and study.com as my main sources of credit as a live outside the USA and test centers are far and pricey.

I have seen a few degree plans using online study sources for TESU, but not many for COSC. Does anyone have a sample degree plan using SL, Saylor, study.com for COSC?

Or if I need to go this route is TESU a better option?

the BSBA at COSC is a newer program. Not sure if anyone has gone through it. Test out options should be available for most of it. A couple of differences between the two programs that may make TESU more economical. First COSC tends to require more UL credits. Double check, but I think it is 30 UL at COSC compared to 18 at TESU. Although both now require cornerstone and capstone, there are differences. Cornerstone at COSC is 3 credits at regular tuition rate while at TESU is 1 credit at ~ $300. Also the capstone at COSC is another 3 credit course, but the BSBA capstone can be met with a TECEP exam. COSC does have a better rep for customer service.

The price for both degrees is very similar - within a few hundred dollars I think.

The main difference is that COSC requires 30cr UL, and they stick harder to the ACE-recommendations for that. So, you need to find 30cr of UL that will fit into the degree plan. Without being able to do DSST, that makes it hard. If you don't have a Pearson-VUE testing center where you can do UExcel exams, then it's even harder.

You will be doing TECEP's, CSU-Global CBE's, TCC, etc. Not impossible, but not as easy as using Study.com and SL as your main sources.

I would like to use SL and study.com as my main sources. I'm wondering if anyone has a degree plan for COSC using SL and study.com as the main sources.

You can definitely get a large portion of your degree from COSC through these sources. The problem with completing most of your degree through SL and Study.com at COSC is that there are currently only a couple of options for upper level courses through these providers. (This could change since Study.com hopes to add more options approved as upper level through ACE.) As stated above, at COSC you need 30 upper level credits.
I don't know what the future holds, but I know Who holds the future.

Again, its the UL requirement that will be almost impossible to meet at COSC with the organizational credit you describe.

TESU is a far better choice given your parameters.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.
