If you needed 7 credits of free electives, which clep/dantes/etc would you take?
#1
I need 7 credits of Free Electives for my TESC BA Psych and am looking to 'test out' of them. I would like to know what you would recommend me taking that would satisfy the 7 credits the fastest and be the easiest?

thanks!

How about taking the FEMA tests online?

Here's 7 right here: http://training.fema.gov/IS/searchIS.asp?keywords=PDS

Tests are mostly common sense and open book.

FEMAs all the way. Just make sure you pick the ones that are actually accepted at TESC. I'm not sure if all the PDS ones are, but they may be. See the transferability list here: http://degreeplanners.com/media/TESC_Equ...Course.pdf

I'm fairly positive those PDS courses are accepted, and I cross referenced all of them against the August 2011 list. I passed all 7 in a matter of days.

For your one TESC course have you checked out the forum there someone has probably taken an easy course. I would just say don't take Children's literature it is a killer.

Sorry I didn't mean to imply you were giving out bad information. I've just seen several "I've been burned!" type statements here and elsewhere lately so I'm a bit paranoid about it, that's all. Sad

For your TESC course choice, Living in the Information Age is reputed to be a very easy course for most people and does not require books. I start it Jan. 1 myself.

If you do not mind book reports, the Jane Austen classes are also often listed, and also do not require any books you cannot pick up for a few bucks at any book store. You can either take the 1-credit or 3-credit version. Someone else would have to confirm if you could just do the one-credit course for the GPA, but I would think you could...?

I would suggest picking one of those, then fill in the rest with FEMA credits as the others suggested to save some cash.

After reading some of these responses and having no idea what FEMA credits were, I did some looking on the forums and OMG, how awesome! FREE FREE FREE! and FAST FAST FAST credits? Too good to be true? If this is as easy to do as it sounds, I would hate to waste FREE ELECTIVE credits taking my 'GPA course' and instead do the FEMA's for all 7 credits needed. This would mean, however, that all that is left for me to complete my BA Psych are PSYCH ELECTIVES, which means I would have to take my 'GPA course' using one from that list of choices.

Anyone have any experience taking any Psych Elective courses online at TESC for the GPA?

Thanks everyone, this forum has been a godsend to me!
