Conditional Propositions
if p then q

p = (5 + 8 = 12)
q = (8 + 5)

p is false
let's say q is ... well it doesn't matter what q is

when p is false it doesn't matter what q is
the entire statement evaluates to true

if false then ....
makes the whole statement true
