IT'S TIME....
#1
Ok guys.... its been 3yr since I came across this forum. Everyone here has been great.

But now its time to make decisions....attached is my list.

I am all done with ACE. Now I need help to decide where should I go. (TESU, UMPI or other) I am already admitted in TESU and already started an application with UMPI (just in case)

I love (prefer) exams; I hate writing. (but if I have to I will, but prefer not to.)

With everything I have already completed, the SOS and Capstone would be all I need for a BSBA General Management Degree in TESU. (I think, please check.)

I have no rush but would prefer to finish before April. Money is not an issue. I would love a Business Degree in Management, Marketing or Finance. (I signed up for the TECEPS exam, 2 in FIN and 1 in MKTG  just in case)

Goal? Finish before April. If it is to avoid the Capstone, I don't mind doing 30cr in UMPI if necessary. Also, if on my way to a Bachelor and I can pick up another paper on the wall, I don't mind it at all, as long as it is not too much work. (another Bachelor or Associates... I already have an AS in BA from CC and AA BOG in CIS).

The capstone and cornerstone at TESU will be about the same length/amount of writing as doing 10 classes at UMPI. If you struggle to meet minimum word counts, the ~10 shorter papers at UMPI might actually be easier than the capstone for TESU. The Business capstone at TESU is a bit different than the Liberal Arts capstone, but it's still a significant amount of work/writing.

On the other hand, if ideation is your problem but you can easily be wordy once you get going, TESU might be easier for you.

Has TESU already completed your evaluation? I'm just not seeing many UL credits on your list for the BSBA.

@splirow, You've completed a few things, it's not really what we decide, but which one you want to go with... I've skimmed through your previous threads and merged the ones that had duplicate info. I don't recall seeing the addendum/template in any of those, we don't know the 'full picture' as the attachment and your current post doesn't show the budget, commitments, study habits, etc. The more we know about your info, the better we can help you decide. Link: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Forum-D...ing-Advice

Having said that, I already know what I would recommend you... Even though you've had your heart set out for TESU at the very beginning, UMPI can't be beat for the cost, ease, speed to finish. You've wanted 'multiple' degrees from TESU due to their options, you should settle for the best degree for your credits and 'finish', you can work on a Masters earlier! To maximize your credits, just by looking at your signature and not the attached file, the UMPI BAS with a minor or two would work perfectly. You can use the extra cash for the UMPI MAOL.

You have all of your GE, Business Core, some AoS, and all Free Electives done. The only thing I see if the lack of 1 UL course for the AoS:

For the Core, I see all LL courses except for:
Principles of Management at Sophia (UL)

For the AoS, I see:
Managerial Accounting from ICC (UL)
Google Digital Marketing Cert
Google Project Management Cert (6cr UL)

So you need 1 add'l UL credit from somewhere (Davar has a couple, Coopersmith has some, SDC has some). Davar will be the cheapest option ($70 + $15 for proctoring through RPNow):
MAN-310: Organizational Behavior
MAN-401: Advanced Strategic Management and Business Policy
MAN-330: International Management (final & paper)
MAR-330: Principles of Sales
FIN-301: Intro to Finance
FIN-310: Multinational Business Finance
FIN-401: Corporate Finance

I took TESU's BSBA capstone, and did not think it was terrible. I actually really enjoyed the Case Studies a lot (3-4 pages each, but an enjoyable time and super easy to write about), and then those teach you what you're going to be writing about for the final paper, which is roughly 25 pages (and I did not have a hard time meeting that requirement). I would say that if you truly HATE writing, you'll have a hard time no matter what you do - because you're going to have to write no matter which option you choose. That being said, if I had to do this course all over again, I would have gone in with a better mindset and not stressed so much. I thought the midterm was MUCH harder studying for than writing the final paper.

This is unfortunate timing. UMPI YourPace will finally start with Brightspace next week, and with that move, final exams are expected to go away, at least for most courses that have them now. I took 7 out of 10 courses with exams recently, but it seems that window has now closed. The other three courses had papers about personal experience, which were incredibly fast and easy for me. These types of assignments may still remain, at least in some form, but it remains to be seen. Having said that, I agree with Rachel that UMPI research papers should still be faster/easier overall than TESU, depending on your personal preferences / writing style.

-For TESU, only need SOS and Cap.
-I hate writing... Love testing.
-Have time ( until April). However I want the easiest and fastest.
-Money is no issue.

I still have a spot for a SDC course as my membership expires in 20 days and i only took one class. I can probably do Principle of Management in SDC, that would slide the Sophia version to UL.

Or I can take the TECEP (which I am already signed up for ) in FIN or MKT.

Yeah, that Capstone is giving me nightmares.

Based on my Degree plan, and things I have completed, what courses should I be doing at UMPI.... That is what I am trying to get here.

Basically, you want to create one spreadsheet and compare the requirements with what you have for each (side by side) or in another sheet, or one above the other to see what you're closer to. You need to know your budget, energy, time and requirements you want to finish. Get that spreadsheet up and we'll take a look at it to tell you what is remaining and which provider will be faster to get them done...

Since you've applied and are waiting for an evaluation, you can do the spreadsheet and then also link us to both the spreadsheet and evaluations, just make sure to modify the files so it doesn't include any personal details. Make the file viewable and not editable, link us to it and we'll give you some feedback.
