I have a question
If I take CLEP accounting and DSST accounting, will they conflict with each other? Will the school accepts both?

I never took either of those two exams, however it sounds to me (via the name of the exams alone) that only one would be accepted; have you checked with your school?

They duplicate credit at Thomas Edison State College (transcripted as ACC-101 on each). It is highly unlikely that any other school would do differently for the reason ShotoJuku mentioned.

They would duplicate because they are both basic Financial Accounting exams. I recommend taking managerial accounting with Straighterline.

Keep in mind that SL's managerial accounting isn't quite ready to go yet. I believe it should be ready by the end of January... I hope so anyhow. I need it!

If you want to know if a school will accept both, ask the school. Even if you specify a school, we can only provide an unofficial answer. Not even the clep.com site is official. It shows you what CLEP exams schools accept, but it isn't always correct as I've found out. I go by the official guide published by each college or university I'm interested in.
I don't know about accounting, but I do know about biology and there is a general principle involved that could apply to other courses. There are two forms of biology at most schools: One for science majors, one for non-science majors. If you pass the CLEP Natural Sciences exam, some schools give credit for one semester of biology for non-science majors. If you pass the CLEP Biology exam, you get credit for one or two semesters of biology for science majors. Different courses, right? Not really. Most colleges and universities allow you to get credit for either biology for science majors or biology for non-science majors, but not both.
The point here is that even if two different exams give you credit for two different courses, if the courses are similar, you might end up with credit for only one course.

Accounting II through SL transcribes as ACC102 which meets the Managerial Accounting requirement at TESC.
The coming soon ACC150 new version of managerial accounting reads more like cost accounting since it mentions "cost" quite frequently in the definition. Very confusing.
