Okay so on Monday I completed like seven papers so that I could finish up my English 102 from Straighterline. I completed English 102, Managerial Accounting, and BIO I & II to be transferred into my BSBA degree plan at TESC. I needed the English 102 to fulfill my english comp requirement as I never took it in community college because it was always full.
I knew that I wanted to apply to get my associates while getting my bachelors but I wasn't too sure in which area I would get one in. I thought about getting the associates in business but the required precalculus on aleks is giving me a run for my money. So I looked into other options for the associates and one degree plan stood out to me.
It was the Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Administrative Studies. It is more or less a terminal degree for people that have credit scattered everywhere. I checked out the degree plan and said wow I have made it. I fired off an email to tesc to confirm and get an eval of my current credits and sure enough I have done it. I just have to wait for the straighterline credits to get there and be evaluated. I know that it is not the bachelors but this is a big deal for me seeing that I picked up were I left off 10 years ago and just completed it in under 4 months. I'm almost there!!!

What a great accomplishment. I think you are very smart to pick up your AA on your way to your BA. It is also impressive how much you have got done. Congrats to you for all of your planning and hard work. :hurray:

Thanks Alley Cat. I think that the associates degree gives you a bit more motivation along the way. I have always been a firm believer in getting that degree as it gives a sense of accomplishment. Four years is a long time to wait to see some results. I am a stay at home mom right now so needless to stay I have been working around the clock at trying to complete my degree plans.

Hey getting all of this done while being a Mom is tough work. It is amazing how we can find time to do things when they are important to us. Great accomplishment.

Congratulations! Another milestone reached. If something happens and you need to get a job, it shows another accomplishment beyond your HS Diploma.
Now, on to get that BS.

Congrats! That is great news & it's a great milestone on your way to your BSBA. I just took a look at the requirements on the TESC website, because I'm thinking it might be a good idea for me too. What did you do for the 21 credits listed under "area of study"? Is this where any business classes taken would apply? Thank you & congratulations again!

LOL @ AlleyCat.
Thanks P00057870 & GoodtoGo
@ GoodtoGo, this is what was used to fill my 21 credit requirement. All of these C's come a period in my life when I C'd my way through. I literally said that back then. I mean I really did not try at all.
