Nope it is an old thread. At one time the ACE credit lapsed. When I took it I got 2UL credit now it is worth 3LL.
I've heard mixed things about TESU taking it or not. I think now they don't take it, but I have no idea.
On my eval in april (2020) TESU gave it 3 credits Phil 288 Professional Ethics. It came in under liberal studies lower level area of study in my BALS. note: also had sophia ethics course come in under "ethics", so that does not tell us if institutes would or would not come in for "ethics".

FWIW, I took it in January 2020, and it came in to my Excelsior MAP as "ETHICS FOR INSURANCE PROFESSIONALS", 2 UL Applied Professional/Free Elective credits.

I took mine in 2018 and it came in as PHI-384 for 2 credits.
Does that mean I can take it again and potentially get another 3 credits? Plus the Sophia ethics...

for tesu: My non expert wild guess is that if you took institute ethics again, it would not count again with 3 more credits for total of 5. Wild guess is that it could come in as 3 LL credits total instead of the 2 UL you have. Of course, they could just say 2 UL and not do anything with the second time you took it. Those are guesses on my part. But the sophia ethics would come in as 100 level for 3 credits based on what they did with my eval this spring.

I think I might as well give it a shot. I don't need UL ethics; it's not in my AOS. An extra free credit would be nice, however.
