I was considering HES until I quickly realized that there are residency requirements that I would not be able to fufill. There are other mitigating circumstances that I don't feel like I have to explain and I rather take issue with the assumption that I'm just letting the opportunity go to waste. I was simply trying to get someone else to take advantage of the opportunity if they wanted to. I didn't expect all the judgments and assumptions regarding my decision. I do realize that some people were honestly trying to find a way to help me solve the problem and take advantage of this opportunity but I do believe I am making the most responsible decision for myself and my family.
I'm VERY sorry if my enthusiasm came off that way. I totally understand- and in your shoes I'd have to make the same choice. That said, I've taken several HES distance courses, and they are outstanding, so my suggestion was inside the assumption that you could just take 3 online classes for free and for fun. No judgment, seriously.
