I officially applied to TESC today...
#1
I expect to get an approval within..a week? I know that they are getting slammed with applications now. Just wondering, will my enrollment be instant as soon as I pay by credit card or will it take a few days to get processed?

Application can take a few days to be processed. When I enrolled, I paid using a credit card and by the next morning I was officially enrolled. Smile I called them and got that confirmation, though—they didn't send an email. (They sent a receipt of payment email, just not an enrollment confirmation email.) I was told I'd need to ask the Bursar's office for a letter of enrollment confirmation.

Update: a week after I paid the enrollment fee, I got an official enrollment confirmation email (without having to call and ask for it).

Good for you. You made the right choice.
Be persistent but patient at the same time with TESC as they are government employees.

Thank you, Ryoder, for recognizing the strain that we government employees work under. You would not believe the abuse we have showered on us. A co-worker was called a word so vile and disgusting, that I won't even allude to what it was. She was called it at least three times by someone on the 'phone, and she was nothing but pleasant and helpful to the person. (It's the social services field, so things might be a bit worse here.) Folks are rightfully concerned about their tax (and tuition!) dollars, but there comes a point when you can only do less with less, and not more.

I think Ryoder's comment was meant to be negative about government employees. There is the stereotype that government workers are lazy and rude i.e. the DMV.

It's tough being called horrible things on a daily basis.....it's even tougher knowing that you could end the torment whenever you choose....I'm a corrections officer, lol.

Ouch! One of our local detention officers was just stabbed by an inmate and another one got a piece of his ear bitten off by another detention officer! I work for a government agency and have to deal with the public all day everyday. I hate hearing, "I pay taxes." I don't care how much you pay. We're not bending the law to please you.
