I need help getting into the Military
#1
I'm planning on taking all FEMAS and National Fire Academy Courses as well as straighterline and a few CLEP exams, at the moment i have a GED and i want to get as many college credits as possible before joining, so in the event that i collect over 50 Credits through FEMAS & CLEPS and so on... What should i do? open up a TESC credit bank and bank all the credits in there? is this a legitimate way of enlisting with over 50 college credits? i want to go in as a E-3.

will it work?

Have you talked to a recruiter? Is that what you were told? The hungry ones will almost take you by the hand and lead you. Just got off the phone w/my buddy today and he says the Navy is hard to get into right now. That is normally how it is when the economy is bad and many are staying in. I would think the Army and Marines are open for business.

Army Recruiters aren't concerned or care about credit banks. Just show them an official college transcript from an accredited college. Doesn't matter what the classes are as long as they are on the college transcript. If you have a GED + 15 semester hours, you're considered a High School Grad. If you want to come in as an E-3, you'll need 48 semester hours if the rules haven't changed since I was a recruiter.

A credit bank transcript is considered a college transcript right?

As far as I know. It's basically where a College takes in all your FEMAs, and other courses, converts them and puts them on a transcript. As long as the Recruiter gets the transcript from that accredited college doing the credit banking, then you should be straight. Are you fluent in a language like Spanish, French, or German? You can CLEP those and get an easy 12 semester hours.

What about a GRE? Except I think I heard that they might only be held a few times a year. But they give a lot of credits!
