Perhaps passing the computer one will help boost my confidence, but, when I get my IT certs I really hated it and it took a very long time. I think that perhaps testing out is not something I would be great at.I am A+/Network+/Security+/MCSE certified. You can take the Intro to Computing DSST cold and pass. It's 80% A+/Network+ stuff. If you know anything about programming and/or databases, that will help as well. If not, a brief skim at the 30K foot view will be all you need. I finished that test in 17 minutes.
I didn't take the Info Sys CLEP, but I imagine it can't be harder than the MIS DSST which I took and destroyed. You'd actually need to do some studying about databases and MIS itself, but knowing A+/Network+ stuff will get you a lot of gimme questions.
