Any recommendations? I looked at the TECEP exams and did not see any I can use. I looked at the DSST and figured that I need to be in the military for it and I dont see and classes I can use.

One note: you DO NOT have to be in the military to take a DSST. If you're in the military they just pay for you to be able to take DSSTs for free (one chance only).

Here (at the bottom of the page) are some Sociology classes at TESC.

What sociology credit do you already have? We can't know that any recommendation won't duplicate.

Excelsior, if I'm not mistaken, counts the following UExcel ECEP, formerly ECE, tests as upper-level sociology at Excelsior:
Foundations of Gerontology
Juvenile Delinquency
Cultural Diversity

The ECE in World Population was originally upper-level but the current version, now the UExcel ECEP, is lower-level at Excelsior. But the current version might still count as UL at TESC.

In 2011 blu2blu reported here that ECE World Population – this might have been the older, UL at Excelsior version – was credited as SOC-318 World Population at TESC. Here's the description for SOC-318, and two other UL population courses in sociology, from the TESC PLA Description Database:

TESC Wrote:World Populations (SOC-318) 3.00 s.h.
Study of social change and ideas about development as they affect villagers, the urban poor, ethnic and racial minorities, and military and industrial elites. The conflict between the rich and the poor in an international context.

Population Problems (SOC-354) 3.00 s.h.
Demography; its definition, historical emergence, and growth; population as a social problem in developing and developed nations; population theories, sources and methods of demographic data, population composition, and distribution; demographic processes including fertility, mortality, and migration.

Population, Resources and the Future (SOC-450) 3.00 s.h.
Sociological analysis of population growth trends and the impact on future resources.

I took the DSST for Substance Abuse which TESC transcribed as SOS-303 and placed it under my major's (Psychology) requirement, which came as a complete surprise to me. I thought it would be used as a Free Elective. I suspect they might do the same thing for Sociology.

Your best bet would be to call or email the advisement office and ask them if this would give you the credit for sociology.

I have emailed regarding the abuse class.

Not all of those course numbers are listed in the PLA Description Database. SOC-390, SOC-299, and SOC-173 aren't. IIRC, a *99 course number is a catchall for transfer credit not otherwise allotted at TESC. I can see that the other numbers correspond with Introduction to Sociology, Sociological Theory, Cultural Diversity in the United States, Modern Sociological Foundations, and Gangs respectively.

Now, another obvious possiblity is Social Psychology. The UE ECEP in Social Psychology is numbered by Excelsior as a PSY course. However, Social Psychology is commonly an in-major course from both psychology and sociology departments. My guess would be that TESC would accept UE Social Psychology toward a sociology major.

You might look at the distance learning sociology courses from
Colorado State University-Pueblo MANY available, and rebel and others here speak very highly of CSU-P.
Louisiana State University
Brigham Young University
Independent Study in Idaho consortium With soci. courses presently from U. Idaho and Lewis-Clark State College.
Arkansas State University

Remember that a lower-level course might be counted as upper-level at TESC, and vice-versa. For instance, Marriage and Family will likely count as LL at TESC (SOC-210) even if if was UL at its source.

I just copied what was in my eval.

Also, I have taken Social Psychology which was a 4000 level class at another school But they listed it as a psychology class. I am going to inquire about that. I did the same for my capstone and it seemed to work out.

Thanks for the tips my friend!
