Double Degree Planning - For Significant Other's Friend (who is actually our neighbor too, a couple houses down!).
My wife has a good friend who wants to start their degree, but wants two. One in Arts and one in Business.
Arts is her thing, she's into that, not so much into sciences. Business because she's wanting to get into that field.
She's got plenty of time as she's a stay at home mom with a couple of kids (going into Kindergarten/Grade 2).

From TESU I am thinking of recommending the BA Psychology and the BSBA General Management.
When I mean start, I meant, she is starting from scratch with zero credits. I think these two would work best.
It would use the same general education requirements and she can use Saylor, Straighterline, Study.com
Would these two degrees be possible exclusively by using these three providers (plus the capstones of course)?

That's the only question, unless there's another degree possible that's as available using those three.
I would not recommend her to CLEP/DSST as she's about 1.5 hours away from a testing location.
I don't think she wants to drive 3 hours just to take a test and get back. She would like to test at home.
Further to that, I would not recommend her Shmoop unless she's really good with that kinda twisted testing.

Any recommendations on an easier BA, like Sociology that can be completed at TESU or elsewhere?
I'll check the other universities or providers and see if there's some comparable degree, it maybe similar.
Thanks in advance. Just seeing what options there are for cheaper/easier/faster credit for her.
Only other ones I can think of are maybe an Excelsior or COSC and a WGU degree...

TESU's Psych degree has a few courses that aren't test-out-able, but Study.com is saying they will be available through them (History & Systems, Physiological, & Ethics in the SocSci's). The rest of the required courses & electives are available in a myriad of ways, SL & Study.com being 2 of them.

The BSBA is definitely available through Study.com and SL.

If I were her, I would get the BSBA first, and then the Psych degree, just because of the cost factor. BUT, if the Business Capstone TECEP were to go away, then I would probably do whichever was more beneficial to me first, since it really wouldn't matter from a cost perspective.

Also, at TESU, this wouldn't be a double degree/dual degree, but a first and then second degree (not sure if that matters). Since they are from different areas within the college, you can't get them at the same time.

WGU doesn't have a Psych degree. But it couldn't hurt to get the BSBA from WGU and the Psych degree from TESU, in either order. Nothing says you have to do both degrees at the same school.

History and Systems is already test-outable through Coopersmith, it's just not the best exam imo. They also have Physiological Psychology, but I don't think we've ever gotten feedback on it here. Ethics in SocSci and the capstone are not test outable yet (and obviously the capstone never will be, unless TESU somehow has a drastic change of heart sometime in the future)

I would choose the BA in the arts at TESU for the first degree and then get the MBA from WGU for the second degree. I would take the strategic management TECEP just to keep the BSBA option available and she needs the credits anyway. It doesn't sound like there is a rush to earn the business degree first so I'd do the two degrees in the most optimal order to avoid having two BA degrees.
