I am back. I have a cousin who is looking at getting a second degre in psychology and I decided to buy the REA Educational Psychology book to learn a bit myself. Then I signed up here for a paid instantcert account. My plan is to complete all of the tesc requirements for psychology starting with Clep, dsst, and tecep. Then I'll see what I want to do next. So how fast do you guys think I can complete this Clep? Educational Psychology. I took intro to psychology a few years ago.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

Welcome back. Educational Psych. uses many of the basic psychiatry principals but relates them to children and education, you will have no problem seeing the connections and maybe learning a couple of the education principals of the significant pontificates.

Rebel100 is so pessimistic. I figure you'll have your doctorate in Educational Psychology by week's end!
Welcome back. How's the doctoral program going?

I got interested in flying and lost interest in the dissertation process so I exited with a certificate of advanced grad studies in business. I have a bunch of doctoral level credits in excess of the cags just hanging around. I don't think the dissertation is for me due to the horror stories I saw on the NCU forum of being continually rejected with little constructive feedback or feedback that disagreed with prior feedback. To quote George McFly "I just don't think I can take that kind of rejection."

Yeah there is a ton of overlap. I have previously taken some education courses through VESI and have studied Fundamentals of Instruction for flight instructors. I also took two instructional technology grad courses at usf. Add in Organizational Behavior and some of the psychology references I had to draw upon for my PhD dissertation and psych is not a big leap for me.
I just finished the REA book and two practice tests and am going through REA Human Growth and Development.
I don't have kids so I don't relate to a lot of the material but my wife calls me a big kid so maybe I'll do ok.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
Does anyone know of a school that would grant a third bachelors in psychology? Just in case I want another piece of paper to hang on the wall. Tesc will only do two.

hi Ryan! Nice to see you again
I used the REA Ed Psych and like you, I took it after intro psych. I didn't find it exceptionally difficult.
