I paid the $20 for the membership and $15 to get the exam proctored. My question is, now that I've passed the course, can I look at the CLEP study guides without having to pay extra? What about taking another IC course, would I have to pay another $20 even if the month isn't up yet? I need to take American Government but just want to take it through IC instead of using CLEP for that.

I'm confused. If you passed the course why would you need the CLEP study guides? Are you planning on take the CLEP exam also?

Oh I'm not using CLEP for Spanish. That one is already done. I'm just waiting for RPNow to make it official. I haven't committed to taking a CLEP yet. Just kind of dipping my feet. I mean, if I can view the study guides, I'll definitely check it out.

You can pay another $20 and have instant access to another IC course right now. I asked about it a few months ago. It's kind of similar to SL with the subscription + pay per course model, it just so happens that you ALSO get a free course every month that you are subscribed.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

Would I be able to check out the CLEP study guides without paying extra?

Modern States has a free online book, and the voucher which will pay for the CLEP exam.
Also, here are the REA CLEP books available online. I have kids that took a ton of different CLEP in high school, and they really liked these books. The books themselves have several practice exams. LINK REMOVED

Until the month is up, yes. You should be able to.

Membership is awesome, I think it allows a month of access to resources and one ACE course. You should focus on that course and complete the RPNow exam for $15 before the month is over. If you can finish the course & exam in say 2-3 weeks, you can use the remaining time to study for a CLEP using that remaining time, when the time is up, you can use ModernStates and when that is done, you're almost ready for the CLEP exam in question... If you have more time available, take two CLEP exams! Rinse and repeat, get cheap, easy, fast ACE & CLEP credit!
