I am officially ultra edumucated!
#1
I just graduated yesterday with a master's degree. According to the quick searching I did, only about 10% of the population has a master's degree or higher. Let's see if that helps me land a job. Anyway, I'm hoping to get into adjunct teaching. Is anyone on this forum doing or pursuing that?

I'd like to take the time to thank the people on this forum again for being instrumental in me finally completing my bachelor's degree. I didn't ask too many questions, but I read a lot of threads. I'm a non-traditional student. It took me about 7 years to finally complete a bachelor's degree and I'm in my late twenties. I just really needed to check the box and move on to graduate school. At the least, my BA from TESC qualifies me for teaching grade school and certain law enforcement positions that either require experience/certification or a degree. My master's degree makes up for my lack of specific national security experience when applying to federal jobs. Maybe I'll go for a PhD or some other kind of doctorate.

Good luck with the job hunt. As a DC-area resident, it seems like you can't spit without hitting someone in national security or law enforcement. Please let us know how the job hunt goes.

First of all, Congrats!!! Secondly, I too am pursuing adjunct teaching at the community college once I finish my own master's degree. I expect I'll be teaching at the public school eventually before then.

Well, here's another one: 30.94% of the US population 25 & older have bachelor's degrees! So we can enjoy that statistic ourselves for now. Wink

Also, according to this from Wikipedia sanantone's achievement is even more impressive statistically since only 8.05% have completed a master's degree!
