This is my first post. I am studying for the hummanities clep, it is one of 4 needed to complete my degree. My question is how on target is IC on the Fine Arts section? When it comes to naming the works of art, I have a hard time memorizing them and if new ones are added into the mix, I am afraid I'll bomb the test! Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

The Humanities CLEP is about 50% Literature - and the rest is split between art, music, drama, architecture, theatre, etc. I found IC to be pretty good for this test - especially since there are photos of the paintings. On my test - there wasn't a whole lot of art questions - and the questions were about major works of art.
Do you have the REA or Comex book? I found the Comex book to be the best help for this test. If you can get your hands on a copy of that, that should help you a lot. If you can't get a copy of it, don't fret - IC should be all you need if you just want to pass.
See if your local library has The Annotated Mona Lisa book
Amazon.com: The Annotated Mona Lisa: A Crash Course in Art History from Prehistoric to Post-Modern (9780740768729): Carol Strickland: Books - that's a great resource for studying the art part. It goes far and beyond what you need for the CLEP, but if you are worried about the art section, I'd get this book.
I found this test to be rather easy - you should do fine

''There is no sight more appealing than the sight of a woman making dinner for someone she loves.'' -Thomas Wolfe

I to am working on this one. I am finding that unlike other tests slow ans steady has been the answer for me. Constant repetition of the flash cards one section at a time. My target is next week sometime and that will have given me 3 weeks on this one. I'll take another Petersons or two this weekend so I can gauge where I am at. finally Im getting to the point if I get one wrong I'm saying duh I know that, and I'm starting to be able to pick out writing styles from the differant writters. All just from IC. So keep it up you will get there.

Exceedingly so. I found IC to be excellent for Humanities. What I did was go through all the flash cards so that I could get them ALL (minus one or two) without looking. To do that, I would look up anything I was unfamiliar with on Wikipedia, knower of all earthly things. Wikipedia is great, not just because it is free, but because it is easy to navigate to
related art that may not be in IC. It also contains a large number of images.
Take a glance at
my post in the Specific Exam Feedback section too. It details some of the other sources I used.
Hope it goes well for you!

I'd say wait until you're scoring in the 60s until you take the exam. I like scoring in the 60s first.
