Hi Everyone,
I am scheduled to take the Humanities CLEP on Sept 10th. This is my first CLEP and was wondering if anyone has good pointer or advice. I have read many posts regarding individuals who have taken CLEP exams and past and hope I can be part of the statistics.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Helene
Have you tried the exam specific thread yet?

You have to be a subscriber to IC, but I'd recommend that anyway for this exam. The flashcards are worth it alone.

IC is excellent for this test. I wrote in my specific exam feedback,
Quote:IC is invaluable. Do it at least twice. Doing it once would be going over it until you can get most all the questions right; doing it twice is going over to see how much you remember (and to refresh your memory). Every time you get a question wrong, look the answer up (particularly if it’s a person) on Wikipedia and learn something about it. One of Wikipedia’s strengths is the “influenced/influenced by” section beneath authors’ photos. With it, you can guide your self to related information not covered in IC (since IC is not all-encompassing).
If you keep on packing in facts about the topics IC presents, you're bound to ace this test!
Have fun,
R.

That's one of my favorite things about Wikipedia as well Ruddigore.
I have to be careful though. I start off studying about Cicero and two hours later I'm reading about the Mars Landers. Somehow I've covered 2000+ years and 30+ million miles just be clicking one link after the other.
I've learned so much from Wikipedia. I <3 the Internet!

Haha. I've had EXACTLY the same experience. "Wow, this movie is -- wait a minute..."
