Im receiving my degree from TESC and I need upper level psychology classes and a required experimental psychology credit. Please see if you can help with the following questions...
1) Do I have to be enrolled at Excelsior to take their test or is it like Clep?
2) How do I take Excelsior tests? Is it like Clep or do I order it and take it at home?
3) I read in other post that people are studying with recommended text books, free EC studyguides, practice exams, and study disks. Where and how do I find and use these?
4) Will Research Methods in Psychology** Excelsior test count for my experimental psychology credit?
Also please help with any advise you might have for a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology.
I am grateful for all of your kindness and charity in taking the time to help me.

1 & 2) No. ECEs are electronic format these days and offered at Pearson/VUE test centers. Signed up for the test at Pearson/VUE.
3) Create a MyEC account at
http://www.excelsior.edu access the publications area for the Test Info. Unless you find a study guide or practice exam on the web for free, the stuff like that is generally not free.
4) I'm not a TESC student, nor ever have been, but I believe I've read posts from other forum members that say it does.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote, genius. I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college, so let's get down to basics: you are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now don't try to get away, I am more muscular, more cunning, faster and larger than you are, and I am a genius, while you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten, so I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers.
Bachelor of Science in PsychoRabbitology degree
Master of Education with a specialty in Rabbit-specific destructive munitions (or eLearning & Technology, I forget which)
Doctor of Philosophy in Wile E. Leadership with an area of specialty in Acme Mind Expansion - 2017 Hopefully

1) Do I have to be enrolled at Excelsior to take their test or is it like Clep? TMW2010 is correct. You do not have to be enrolled.
2) How do I take Excelsior tests? Is it like Clep or do I order it and take it at home? As TMW2010 said, you have to go to the pearson vue testing center. FYI: You pick your test date on the internet or through the phone. But if you go through the phone it costs $10 more. So I went through the internet and they were booked up for two months. Someone else on here said the same thing happened to them except when she called she was able to schedule an appointment in a couple days. All this to say, it may be worth it to spend the $10 for an earlier appointment. I wish I knew that before I scheduled all my ECEs.
3) I read in other post that people are studying with recommended text books, free EC studyguides, practice exams, and study disks. Where and how do I find and use these?Once you create an account with excelsior, you can download the free study guides. There's not tons of info in there but it tells you what to study. I like to make a better study guide based off their outline. You can access the practice tests here. I never used them b/c they are so expensive. I never heard of the study disks.
4) Will Research Methods in Psychology** Excelsior test count for my experimental psychology credit?Yes. It did for me.
Also please help with any advise you might have for a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology.
