I'm trying to create the ACE transcript. Can it be done without inputting my SSN? I didn't put an SSN in to the TEEX site, but the ACE site will not accept the TEEX Id as an SID. Is there some other thing I can do to avoid using my SSN? Would this work? I don't want to register for it if it's not going to be useful

FEMA ID Number requires YOUR SSN the 1st time to register. The FEMA number is longer than YOUR ssn. ACE is an official transcript. They are legit. If you do not want an ACE transcript do not apply for one.

I didn't see a box for SSN on the FEMA ID form? I'm not worried about whether ACE is legit, I'm sure they are, what I'm worried about is the security of my SSN. Every time you give that out somewhere, that's another place for identity theft to potentially happen, whether internally or externally. Schools aren't using SSN anymore to identify people, they are generating their own SIDs. Identity theft is a real problem and I have really good credit and score and would like to keep it that way. The less places that are storing my name and number together, the less the risk of identity theft.

It sounds like LLL isn't familiar with ACE's option to input SSN or SID.
But yeah, I have no idea why the SID wouldn't be working for you.

Are you a student with TESU? Have you tried using your TESU SID #? That would allow you to add all your ACE courses onto one account, if you use the TEEX then you will have to keep creating new ACE accounts for each provider based on the ACE instructions.

Would I have a student number if I'm not enrolled? I've only applied to TESU, have not enrolled. I'll have to check that.

Yes, once you've been accepted, you have a student number. You can get it from the student services page. It's at the top of your academic eval or on your student ID.

It's created. ACE answered my email and said just push the next button without entering any number and it will prompt you to proceed without giving a number. Should have just thought of that in the first place, but I guess it's not intuitive.
