I liked my 3 months with SDC. Got through 6 courses without too much trouble. Will most likely be returning to them in the near future to work on their CS courses.

Thank you for the feedback, allvia and Merlin. My concern is that I don't know how much time I'll have to devote to coursework, and in the past I've done really poorly with any kind of monthly membership. I gave up on StraighterLine because there would be entire months where I couldn't make the time or find the motivation to log in. It's like a gym membership with me. So I'm not too keen on the idea that I'd pay $200/month and have it potentially go to waste, which is why the $60 sounds safer to me. I'd really much prefer something with a one-time fee like CLEP or Davar, but Study.com has some courses I need that I can't take elsewhere. I'll have to think about it.

You can always just sign up for one month at a time. That way you can focus on the two free exams and if you don't renew, the membership ends after a month.
The trick is just to cancel your membership right after you sign up so you don't forget. People do this on Straighterline as well.
