I tested out of 100 by 21 years old. I did know about these tests in high school and I thought they weren't really worth it because you couldn't learn anything but then when i joined the navy i had a great need to get a degree fast and i realized i already knew most of this stuff anyways.

I tested out of 66 credits altogether. In 2008 alone I completed 33 credits by exam plus 4 more traditionally; sociology and info lit. Just waiting on results for my last three exams to find out if my degree is finished.
Thanks for the inspiration, ICS

Since 2005 I have tested out of 42 hours. 11 CLEPs and 2 DANTES. For those doing the math the Humanities CLEP counts for 6 hours. The most I passed in one year was seven just last year (2007).
I attend a private university that is quite expensive. If not for the exams I would have never been able to afford my degree. Well, not without going into major debt, which I really wanted to avoid. These exams and this website have saved me over 20K over my academic career.
I wish I would have discovered CLEP exams 10 years ago. These exams were never mentioned to me in my three attempts at state colleges going back to 1994. I tell everyone who is interested in going back to school about them along with a strong recommendation for Instacert.
To those just starting out believe me the first one is the hardest. It's just a matter of getting in a routine of putting the time aside to study. Once you get that first one out of the way the momentum just seems to build and before you know it you are well on your way to a degree. At least thatâs the way it worked out for me.
Good luck to all, Jay
