How long does the college board take to grade the English Comp essay???
#1
How long does the college board really take to grade the English Comp essay??? They say "2-3 weeks" and that 3 week mark is getting awful close. My obsession with updating my signature, the real motivation behind me going after my degree, is causing me to compulsively drive to my PO box every day. Please assuage my anxiety; I don't know if I can handle the "pending" in my sig file for very much longer.

Hey 94steve, I am also waiting for my score and it's almost been three weeks. I called the Clep office and they gave me a date when they are sending out the score. I suggest that you call them (I got their number through the college board) and ask them for an E.T.A. of your score. Good luck on your other exams!!! I see that you passed very nicely on your American Gov't exam, which study materials did you use? I'm using R.E.A., I.C., the peterson practice tests, and another book on the constitution. Is that enough in your opinion? My test is on Aug. 10th.

I did this about 2 years ago. At that time, the testing center told me 4 to 6 weeks. It came in around 4 weeks.

I'd rather they tell me longer and have it come in earlier than the other way around ....

Apparently they send copies of the essays to more than one grader, as they can disagree on some areas, like punctuation, etc.

Hang in there! It should arrive soon.

I took it damn near cold. I took a practice peterson's, scored a 79/100, and then immidiately took the exam 2 or 3 days later. I used to work in politics so I had a background and felt comfortable enough with the material to pass it without doing the IC/REA/Peterson shuffle.
