It was fairly simple. I only did this for the free credits. I did the minimal and finished in just a few hours. It took Kaplan a very short amount of time to ACE approve.

Yea same here. All you have to do is take the seven quizzes for the three credits. You need a 70 on each quiz. If you are trying to learn how to prepare a portfolio, it seems really detailed and guides you step by step.

I took it just for the 3 credit hours, as presently a portfolio would probably not benefit me. I just ran through and took the quizzes. Took maybe an hour.

My teenage son took this knowing that he did not have enough experience yet to complete a portfolio. However, he found the info interesting. It took him about 2 weeks of spending an hour a couple of times each week, probably a total of 4 or 5 hours. He does take his time, though!

I know this course transcripts through ACE as 3 credits, but since TESC has a PLA course of their own worth only 1 credit, does anyone know if they will accept the full 3 hours from Kaplan?
And to answer the Original Poster's question...it took me about 1.5 hours (with a 20 minute break), and I made 90 to 100 on each quiz. HOWEVER, if you really want to learn something, I suggest taking a bit longer and actually study the materials presented.

Sorry about that. I did a little more digging and just found the answer to my question (simply put--yes) in the Portfolio Assessment discussion, post #7 by dfrecore.
