Hi,
I wanted to take the Principles of Marketing CLEP exam this summer. How long does it normally take you guys to study for it to do well? Is it hard? Any suggestions?

I just took this exam after only one week of studying. I used instantcert and clep book. I only got a 54 and probably would have done better if I had studied longer. I am trying to complete ten courses by the end of August so that I can complete my A.S. and most of these are actual sit in the chair courses so I didn't spend as much time as I should have on studying, but it is a very doable course.

I studied a couple hours a day for five or six days. I focused on using the REA book as my study source. I understand that the IC flashcards contain most of the information that you will need for this exam, but I had already purchased the REA book, so I just used that. I think you can prepare for this exam in week without any problem.

Not a difficult exam at all. If you study the IC flashcards for a couple of hours a day for a week you should do fine.
There is some good feedback on this one in the "specific exam feedback" section including a free video recommendation.

I thought this was the easiest CLEP; I barely studied and passed. I used IC only. Good luck!

I used the REA book and got a 74, which is well into the A grade region.
I studied for a few evenings, maybe 10 hours.
I did not think it was that easy, so don't take it too casually.
