How did you pass ALEKS statistics?
#1
Aleks statistics is so bruuuuutal! What resources or techniques did you use to get over that magic number(70)? I'm at 62% assessed + 8%(green bar) right now...

One thing I've found very helpful is to write down the different formulas to help during the assessments. They can get confusing. I so wish I could be where you are now! I still have a ways to go.

I'm finally finished! I requested an assessment and pegged at 70%. I spent a mind numbing 130 hours on Aleks; but the time spent includes: PreCal, Beginners Algebra, Intro to Stats and Intermediate Algebra...

I never wanna see a F distribution/T distribution question again!
Cool

do you recommend to take these ALEKS math courses in any order.

I need the Precalculus + Statisticsf for the BSBA at Tesc.

i did the trial practice for the prep for Prep for Statistics and was okay not GREAT!

Also for the BSBA at Tesc, do they need the Precalculus or Precalculus without Trigonometry. I know they need the Stats.

I decided to do ALEKS instead of doing the DSST. If that does not work out i will take a course at my local comm college.

If you've already taken the statistics assessment then I would just go ahead and do that course first. The program will work as long as you're prepared to throw a lot of hours at it. It is very thorough but worth it in the end! I spent a total of 131 hours and 32 minutes on ALEKS in the month of January. That got me Intro to Stats and Intermediate Algebra. Good luck! Big Grin

i just got started on the intro to stats.......... very interesting.Smile

question for those who have completed, will i have to complete all 116 topics to be considered complete?

for some of the sections i may consider doing half or more than half if i run out of time (end of Feb is my deadline).

my Pie shows -

Course Mastery 31 of 116 TOPICS
• Regression & Correlation (0 of 7)
• ANOVA, Chi-square & Nonparametric Tests (0 of 10)
• Probability (3 of 16)
• Mathematical Readiness (18 of 19)
• Random Variables & Distributions (0 of 20)
• Descriptive Statistics (10 of 22)
• Confidence Intervals & Hypothesis Testing (0 of 22)

I did 83 modules before I hit 70%. It's great in the beginning, but got tough towards the end (at least for me it did). I'm not sure how much time you have to spend on this, but your end of February goal is definitely attainable. I did Intro to Stats and Intermediate Algebra in 131 hours in the month of January.

One thing that was a little harder about Intro to Statistics is that there were fewer modules so I had to go a little deeper to get the other pie slices to "open".

(One other thing, don't be scared of the tree chart thingy! I opened that module took one look and worked on other stuff for days. Finally when I went back to that one I realized it was stupid easy....it just looked hard)

GOOD LUCK!! Wink
