ShawnA, that is an AWESOME portfolio design!
My daughter, too, just now enrolled at Clovis for 2 courses this summer. I enrolled her without even checking for transfer credit compatability at her *choice* 4-year state university, because I am assuming that the two courses in which I enrolled her--Spanish 1 and Philosophy Ethics (Humanities)--are easily transferrable, as both colleges are regionally accredited and these are core courses.
Our daughter took the math SAT last year, just a couple of months into Algebra 2, and scored a 500. Our local Florida CC has a cut-off of 530, and any SAT score below 530 means the student has to go into remedial math (non-college credit). However, another Florida CC just 2 hours away has a cut-off point of 500 (!) for the same course, and that CC offers the course online.
So, my daugher wants to take the CLEP College Mathematics for 3 credits, and enroll at the online CC (2 hours away) for the 2nd semester math course.
>>> This will mean that she will have credits from THREE different CC's, along with CLEP, and she won't even have an AA. Is there a limit to how many CC credit hours she can accumulate from any particular CC while still being a high school student?
Thanks!
