The difference is that NDdN is probably going bankrupt, and will go away, and Stanford will own that real estate.

It's sad, so many colleges/universities and institutes are moving "online" as an option and also to sell off their campus just to stay afloat, in the article they mentioned an option to close (cease operations).

I think there was some indication that Notre Dame de Namur might try to become an online grad school (only) and so they could give up their campus yet still stay in operation. It's an optimistic idea. We'll see.
