Hi All!
I'm a new user here. After browsing a few threads, I do have a question for people who are pursuing the Bachelor of Science in liberal arts degree at Excelsior.
Would you mind giving some insight on specifically :
1) how many FEMA courses can be transferred in , as credits ?
2) Which FEMA courses can be transferred in?
It turns out we don't know this answer until one "enrolls" and gets an adviser assigned.
Thanks!!

I believe EC will require you to cycle those credits through FCC, it will cost you around $75/credit. There are likely much cheaper ways to get elective credit. TESC no longer accepts FEMA at all, COSC is the only one that takes them free of charge these days.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

It will be $80 per credit hour (the price keeps going up) to get those credits on to an FCC transcript. In comparison, a CLEP or DSST will cost you around $33 per credit hour. If you just want a generic liberal studies degree, then COSC will be cheaper than EC. While COSC accepts FEMA directly for free, they use FCC's equivalencies as a guide.
Printable Course List
At TESC (and probably COSC), one can earn up to 12 college credits for free through TEEX, NFA, and the Kaplan PLA course. I heard that EC doesn't accept TEEX, but I can't be sure on that.

Hi,
Thanks for the responses. For a generic Liberal Studies Degree, is there a degree plan laid out somewhere?
Would all the courses listed on Printable Course List transfer as credits to COSC?
Thank you!

Charter oak will take pretty much anything that's indicated for college credit on the FaeMA website. They follow you he Frederick cc credit award plan, though they don't require you go through Frederick to receive the credit.

Maybe there is something that can help you on the wiki. I only have one for TESC. Do keep in mind that COSC recently added a lab science requirement.
