Here is my Transcript from CC. what would be my fastest route to a bachelors fr. TESC
#1
Here is an audit from my CC I recieved my AA for transfer but never completed the next step. If anyone could give me the fastest possible route to receiving a bachelors in any degree it would be appreciated. I plan on testing out on anything and everything that I can. Most of the totals are in the bottom however I think some credits may be counted as elective in TESC that were not for my original plan so it may differ from what the total says (64 for gpa 61 for what that goal was) Thank you so much in advance. I also have a professional licensures in life and health insurance, as well as for non-variable annuities from the state of Florida and for 16 other states. I dont know if I can receive credit for those however.

You have mostly generic general education courses that can be used in just about any degree. The easiest degrees to test out of at TESC are liberal studies, psychology, social science, business administration (general mangement), and humanities to some degree. None of TESC's BSBA programs require a capstone that needs to be taken as a TESC course unlike the BA, BSAST, and most of the non-business BS programs. I don't know if TESC will give you credits for your insurance certifications. It would be cool if they would because those credits could fit into the BSBA in Financial Institution Management.

You can take a look at these test out plans.

since I have most of the generic credits and technically an AA from my instution im halfway there. I am 28 now but when I was 18 - 20 I was an underachieving entitled ass that never applied themselves and did the work. the classes I got As in were the ones where tests were the whole grade. I am determined to test out as much as possible. what is the length of time that you think any of the routes listed in the wiki could be achieved? I understand you don't know how I will do, but for a super intelligent dedicated person what do you think the minimun time could be? thank you .

edit: also can this be done fully with tesc tests. or will clep and the others that I am not familiae with need to be taken as well? shoupd I contant an advisor or just enroll to figure out my plan? I am not quite sure where to start.

Fast: 6 months.
Slower: 1 year.

If you choose a program with a required capstone course, then that takes 12 weeks to complete.

You can use whatever tests you want. My plan includes credits from a variety of sources: TECEP, CLEP, DSST, Straighterline, Uexcel, ALEKS, Saylor, etc. If you choose the Per Credit Tuition Plan, it does have a 24-credit residency requirement for bachelor's degrees. The cheapest and easiest way to meet that requirement is by taking 8 TECEPs. If your program requires a capstone course, then you can take 7 TECEPs and the capstone course. The rest of your credits can come from other sources. Depending on how much you're being charged for testing fees, it's a little bit cheaper to take CLEPs and DSSTs. They are also easier tests. Oh, and the Saylor courses are free. You just need to pay $25 for the ProctorU fee.

Thank you for the info. You have really been a great help. I assume I can take the outside courses while I am enrolled in TESC correct? So is my next best step to contact them and have my transcript sent and then do an audit or some form of plan? Or would it behoove me to take the outside courses first and then apply once I have those completed? I know there is probably not one single best answer, as it may vary from person to person. I would however value your recommendation. Thank you Sanantone. I appreciate this info so much.

For $75 you can apply to TESC and get a non official evaluation of where your credits will fit. Then you can make your plan and start working on it. Usually you don't need to enroll at TESC until you are closer to your goal

If you're going to choose the Per Credit Tuition Plan, then it wouldn't hurt to enroll right away. Under this plan, all you need to do is sign up for a TECEP or some other TESC credit source to become enrolled. After that, you just need to take a TECEP, submit a PLA, or take a TESC course every rolling 12 months to stay enrolled. You can continue to transfer in outside sources of credit while enrolled.
