I've been looking around the forum for about a year now which has been so helpful! I have decided to apply to TESU and get my degree finished. I created an excel sheet of what I have so far. I have 46 credits left to go. If someone could help me fill in the blank spots with Clep or DSST options, or offer advice, that would be helpful!
Here it is so far:

I haven't taken the Capstone yet but plan on enrolling next month. Also want to take 2 easy courses to boost my GPA for grad school. If I get an A on the capstone plus 2 more courses then it will be bumped up to a 3.5 from a 3.41. There are no local CC's that offer 8 week courses online for the 2nd half of spring semester. Can anyone suggest some? I have a few from doing a forum search that I plan on looking at.
Thanks in advance

Looks like you don't have many credits in the major yet. As far as CLEP/DSST goes here are some options (plus some TECEPs):
200-level:
- DSST Lifespan Developmental Psych OR CLEP Human Growth & Development
- CLEP Educational Psych
- DSST Civil War & Reconstruction
- TECEP Psych of Women
- TECEP Marriage and Family
Upper Division (you only need 18 credits of upper division btw, including the capstone, not 24)
- DSST Organizational behavior
- DSST Substance Abuse
- DSST Vietnam War
- DSST Soviet Union
- TECEP Abnormal Psychology

I'm going for my BA in Social Sciences from TESU as well. Don't forget study.com for some of the credits in the major. There are quite a few Psychology and History courses available that could go towards Social Sciences - a handful of which transfer in as Upper Level.

Oh, and if you're going to be taking DSSTs and paying out of pocket don't forget they've got a 3-for-the-price-of-2 deal going right now - http://getcollegecredit.com/assets/pdf/Buy2Get1Free.pdf

I could be wrong, but I don't think American History will count towards the Civic Engagement requirement. You need to take something from this list: Thomas Edison State University | General Education - 2016 or After Please let me know if I'm wrong about that.
You can take UExcel's to get grades, and get your UL credits in: Cultural Diversity, Foundations of Gerontology, World Conflicts Since 1900, World Populaton, Abnormal Psychology, Psychology of Adulthood & Aging, Research Methods in Psychology, Social Psychology
You could also check to see if Penn Foster gives grades, I have no clue on that, but I'm guessing they do.
My last note: I had heard that you couldn't take the capstone until you had a certain number of credits. Basically until you're almost ready to graduate. Could you confirm if they will let you register for the capstone before everything else is done?

I'm pretty sure they're looking for social change and politics/government-type stuff for the civic engagement requirement just by looking at their list.

Rio Salado College offers continuous enrollment, and you can choose an 8-wk or 16-wk term. Not cheap, but might be worth it.
