Please look over son's TESU BSBA GM degree plan
#1
Many thanks in advance to anyone that can look over the attached degree plan and tell me if I've made any mistakes, anywhere, in any category. It feels like we're getting close and I don't want to mess it up. My son is still completing a couple of high school credits so he can get a graduated high school transcript and apply to TESU. I'm bummed that he missed the Strategic Management TECEP.

Particular questions include:
1. Will the Sophia 1cr "Developing Effective Teams" and Study.com 2cr "Intro to Entrepreneurship" credits fly in the AOS?
2. Do I have valid courses in AOS and are the requirements met by this plan?
3. Can I move the Gen Ed TEEX 301 down to Free Electives after son does Calculus 1 at CC?
4. Will the Calculus 1 transfer to TESU as 4cr? It is 4cr at CC.
5. Am I correct in assuming that the NFA "Community Safety Educators" course is unneeded and I can therefore delete it?
6. Since he missed the Strategic Management TECEP, does that mean he's stuck taking the semester-long course?

I appreciate any words of wisdom you guys can share.
Whew! I think I'll give him a summer break before diving into the remaining credits! Many thanks to the help of this board!!!!

I came to this forum researching for my now 17-yr-old son who was earning credits via testing and online courses. He completed TESU's BUS-421 in March 2018, the capstone for the TESU BSBA GM degree.  Below are the courses he took:
Study.com: Business 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 109, 113, 121, 308, 309; Economics 101, 102; Finance 101, 102; History 103, 104, 106, 108; Math 103; Political Science 102; Religion 101; Geology 101; Nutrition 101; Chemistry 101; English 305
SL: Intro to Communications, Accounting 1&2, Financial Accounting
ALEKS: Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, PreCalculus, Statistics
TEEX: Cybersecurity 101, 102, 103
Sophia: Developing Effective Teams
312N-H Ethics & the CPCU Code of Professional Conduct
Community College: English 101 & 102, Calculus 1
TESU: MAT-105 Applied Liberal Arts Math TECEP, BUS-421-OL BSBA Capstone Course (January 2018 term)

Yes, it looks good. Smart of you to keep track and make sure you don't go over on the Study.com courses.

1) Yes, those should work in that area
2) Yes, looks good. Valid, and all requirements met (MAN, MAR, & ACC are all covered, that's 3 of 4 areas).
3) Yes, the Cybersecurity course will bump down to Free Electives because you're 2 credits over in Gen Ed Electives.
4) Yes, the Calc course will come in as 4cr.
5) Yes, the NFA course will bump into "Other" because you're over in credits
6) Yes, he will have to take the Online course. The good news is it's not a semester, it's a 3-mo term. Also, with the Study.com affiliation, he should be getting it for the reduced price, right now it looks like they're doing it as $1098 for everyone. So I would sign up for that as soon as possible after he graduates.

Also, with the affiliation, he'll not have to take the Cornerstone, and he should get the residency waiver reduced if he graduates before June 30, so I would get on that ASAP!

Good job with your son, I'm impressed!

Wow, I am also impressed with what you have done with your child. Good going Wandac!
That plan looks solid, so far so good! I would follow the advice/updates dfrecore mentioned.
The "only" lengthy course would be the one from TESU. Almost there!

Thank you dfrecore! I am grateful for your input. As you probably guessed, my spreadsheet is merely a modification of one you sent me months ago. I've been so hyper-focused on guiding my son through these credits, that I have failed to "learn" the TESU side of things. What is the reason for applying to TESU prior to June 30? Is it to get him locked into the 2016-2017 catalog, or is it because of an upcoming change in affiliate pricing via Study.com, or is it due to an anticipated overhaul in the Strategic Management course, or something else (all of these are unknown to me)? I'm trying to figure out if I need to push my son to get his high school credits completed prior to June 30, 2017 and push our homeschool administrator to get a transcript ready during what is normally the month they "take a break". Please help me understand the June 30, 2017 deadline advice. For some reason, I thought Study.com affiliate pricing ran out June 30, 2018.
Also, is it better to take the online Strategic Management course, say this fall, even though he's still shy on all his other credits, or is it just as good to wait until spring or even fall 2018? Is Strategic Management a "write a research paper" course or is it a "watch lectures, read textbook, & take proctored exams" course?
Sorry for all the "newbie" questions.
Thanks!

Thank you. My son is the one who made all the sacrifices (missing out on time w/friends and sports). It will break my heart if some sort of hiccup prevents him from seeing this through to the end.
