Example course titles include "Wellness, Communicable Diseases, Nutrition." You have that course from your university, "Health." Another option would be TECEP The Science of Nutrition. Another option might be DSST Here's to Your Health. (Neither of these are graded. Both are LL at COSC.)

For Excelsior: The Student Guide to Credit by Examination. Here's the 2011 release [pdf], which seems to be the most recent. pp. 25-26.

That would be awesome. I read a requirement about 1 class for at least two semesters am I understanding correctly ? I did a course search and found the capstone offered every semester but didn't see the second required class unless I am understanding it wrong. Is it public health policy? I don't see it anywhere. How much time does this req add to degree completion ? The price tag is awesome though. Also, do all of your credit by exams need to be completed before you apply for admission?

IDS 101 Cornerstone Seminar is 8 weeks, and offered in Term 1 and Term 2 of every semester.
HLT 499 Health Studies Capstone is also 8 weeks. Capstone scheduling varies by subject. Looking at the listings for this semester and the last one, they've offered HLT 499 in Term 2 of each semester.
For Individualized Studies or Liberal Studies concentrations, there's a two-part capstone, one course 1 sh and a second 2 sh. That might be the source of the "second required class" you read about somewhere. Doesn't apply to you if your concentration is Health Studies.

There are three semesters per year. Tuition and Fees.

Understood. I can handle that. I just need to figure out how 8 week courses affect financial aid. I got a small pell grant that I would hate to waste. Thanks for all the help. Looks like I found my degree. this board is unbelievable.

Agreed.
Thanks. Even though I'm not personally interested, this is good information for others.
I would explain the whole semester system and financial aid, but it would probably land on deaf ears. I'll let someone else expend the energy.
