Help me decide on TESC vs. EC for Business Degree - Evals and Plan Included Inside
#1
I would really appreciate any assistance in selecting TESC vs. EC for a general business/management degree. Speed/level of difficulty/convenience/cost are all factors - in that order. I really need to finish by Spring 2011 and I work 40-50 hours/week. The rest of my time is pretty much free for studying however.

I'm attaching an Excel spreadsheet with my stab at a plan for each school based on my evals after applying to each. Any feedback as to which option you think is better for me or if I've overlooked an easier way to satisfy a required course is GREATLY appreciated!!

For Excelsior, LSU has a 1 credit information science course that probably meets the Info Literacy requirement and costs less than the Excelsior offering.

For some of the UL credits you need with Excelsior that you plan to meet with TECEPs, I think it would cost less to take CLEPs and DSSTs such as Money and Banking, MIS and Business Law II than to take the TECEPs.

LSU also has Ops Management for $262 a course, although it requires two proctored exams.

Geezer, would it be better to transfer in a Business Policy course to TESC rather than taking the TECEP for it?

I ordered the LSU course, took one look at the assignments and decided to take the TECEP. In order I would a) take the CSU Pueblo course or b) take the TECEP. I would still recommend the CSU Pueblo course first even though I passed the TECEP....it was by far the toughest exam I took. The CSU course is more money than LSU, but the format looks to be much better.

The Bus Policy TECEP is very very doable if you follow the Specific Exam feedback.
