Yes I did take the Intro to Computers DSST last week- Got a 464
That was a pretty easy test, but again some of the questions were a little touch and go so I didn't know what I'd get until the score popped up...
Taking the MIS DSST tomorrow- thanks for the pep talk Coop- say a little prayer for me.

Passed!!!! 454 Management Information Systems DSST
Perhaps it was the version that I had, but a word of caution to anyone taking this test. Instacert gives you the basics of understanding this test. There were a lot of questions that I had to simply guess because it was not covered in Instacert. If you look at the Peterson exams for this topic, they are dated 2006, however this particular DSST exam was updated in 2008. Peterson is a good overview of the material but it is too deep and some of those questions and foundations for those questions were simply not in this exam. Prometric has a sample test $5, and is a pretty good gauge of the difficulty level. Istudy has a guide for $9.95(useless).
I see some people on here who "only looked at the flashcards once" and took the exam and passed. Don't be fooled, even with a novice background in computers- this one is tough!
I would commit the Instacert flash cards to memory, take the peterson tests, and prometric tests to pass this exam as well knowing the fundamentals or a little deeper in the areas of programming, programming languages and commands, database design, commands and implementation, MIS Org. KNOW what SQL, ERP, KWS, DSS, and TPS are, as well as taking a look at data warehousing, data marts, SDLC, prototyping, Moores Law, storage mediums, network mediums, network communications and protocols.
I studied every night for several weeks and used 100% of the time they gave me on the exam, and with a prayer- pushed the "End Test" button praying that I passed. Sorry guys this one isn't THAT easy. Good Luck!

Congratulations on passing. Thanks, also, for the feedback. It helps folks who are going to take the test not be over-confident when they hear that something's not easy. I'm planning on taking it soon, so I'll up my studying.
